Pay Phone

The other day when I was driving I spotted this contraption on the side of the road.  I was confused as to how it was to be used so I had to look it up on the internet.  Apparently there didn’t use to be cell phones and all people had were something called landlines at home and pay phones if you had to leave home.

You mean they had no mobile phones and no texting back then!  What did they do?  How did they get by?  You mean people had to actually wait for you to call them back if you weren’t home?  What kind of world would that have been if you actually would have had to wait for something???

Yes, they are a thing of the past. Ask Superman – he can’t find one anywhere to change into his superman outfit and cape! Lol!
