It’s very reassuring in this life to know that GOD is always with us. It is also reassuring to know that he sends his angels to aid us in this life while we are here on earth. Some people mistakenly believe that they might become angels after their own death. Nor do angels become humans. Angels were created as separate beings from humans. Here are a few scriptures that speak to the fact that angels do exist in our world.

Psalm 91:11 –     “For he will command his angel concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”

Psalm 34:7 –     “The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.”

Hebrews 13:2   “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels “unawares” without knowing it.”

Mathew 18:10  ” See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my father                                     who is in heaven.”

If you have read the book “Heaven Is For Real” or you have seen the movie then you already know how four year old Colton Burpo saw angels in the hospital and that they sang to him there when he got really sick with an appendix problem. I had an encounter with what I believe to be an angel as well during a car accident which I will try to relate here.

I was traveling to work one morning several years ago in my Dodge Caravan in Livonia, Michigan and had just pulled up to a stoplight with no one in front of me. As I slowed to a stop I leaned my head back totally on the head rest behind me and relaxed my shoulders totally and completely almost sinking into the seat. I let out a sigh as someone would do when they are totally relaxed. In an instant after doing so someone slammed into the back of my van traveling at a speed of more than fifty-five miles an hour. My seat snapped back all in one motion and broke. My glasses flew off my face and several coins I had in an open ash tray were strewn everywhere. The van is pushed about half a block from the collision and the entire back in is caved in and the rear glass is crushed. The driver of the car creating the collision gets out – a young lady in her late twenties and asks me if I am okay. Her nose is bleeding and appears to be okay except for the nosebleed.  As it turns out she was driving one of those new concept vehicles for “Ford” and was busy messing with some of the computer controls hooked up inside rather than noticing that I had just pulled my car to a stop at the light. I never saw her until I felt her crash into the back!

I truly believe that an angel was in my car that day and had me relax just before the moment of impact. I was totally and completely relaxed at impact. Had I not been so relaxed and not leaned my head back against the seat there is no doubt I would have been injured bad. I most likely would have had neck and other injuries. Prior to that time I had never even leaned my head back against the headrest or relaxed like that before.  There have been other incidents in my life where I know that GOD has sent his angels to intervene. It is very comforting to know that he cares about us and protects us like he does.

Maybe you have had a similar experience in your life. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Many times, I feel a very strong presence of some beings in the room or in a space with me…many times, I get nudges about people…and in fact, I think that we believers have a large company of angels on various assignments on our behalf
